Who Are We?
We are Pamayanan ᜉᜋᜌᜈᜈ᜔ - a tribe of writers, artists, and creatives—survivors across the Diaspora healing from our Filipina Mother Wound. We honor and reclaim our sacred truth while addressing the impact of maternal abuse. Through our shared experiences, we offer self-compassion through words, song, movement, and art.
The Filipina Mother Wound is a legacy wound that stems from a mother’s absence, neglect, or abuse. This thread of sorrow, woven through generations, profoundly shapes how we trust, embody ourselves, and belong. Our unmet needs serve as a call to heal and remember our wholeness we were born from. Our Mother Wound reflects a longing for the Divine Feminine, lost through our history of colonialism and migration, as well as the cultural and societal roles we navigate.
We heal our emotional, mental, and physical scars by becoming the loving, safe mother our inner child has always needed and deserved and breaking the cycle of abuse for future generations.
