The Filipina Mother Wound Collective is a space to express what was once silenced. We welcome your sacred stories. Where pain, confusion, anger and sorrow are transformed by art. We curate and publish short essays, poetry, music and art inspired by your journey.
We believe self-expression is a part of healing. Write, draw, sing, dance, move, and create what your heart has longed to express - without fear. This is a space where your voice is valued and your lived experience is shared authentically.
What did you need from your mother that you never got? Imagine a kind friend, your favorite animal, plant or tree or a divine being or Goddess giving you this gift, what would it look like in physical form? How can this be a symbol of self-compassion?
Personal Essays and Poetry must be 250 words max.
Submissions must be in .PDF
We do not offer compensation as our curation of published short essays, poems and art is free for our fellow Filipina Mother Wound survivors. Thank you for your support.
